And there she was, studying and working.
I was walking around my community’s garden when I saw my good neighbor who was doing her usual thing – working and studying. I find her interesting because she’s a PhD student and a teacher in one of the best universities of my beautiful country, The Philippines.
So as an eternally curious soul, I asked her about her work and studies.
She shared with me everything that she’s currently doing and I got way too excited!
She’s doing so many things!
“How do you do that?!”
“Have you always been the achiever and productive type?!”
I know, I should’ve tempered or minimized my excitement but I believe that’s also one of the ingredients that caused me to attract a new good into my life – a simple and effective productivity tool.
“I’ve always been the productive type. The achiever type only came recently.” She told me.
After that happy and energizing conversation with her, I felt great!
A week later, the productivity called Bullet Journalling entered my mind again. I used to do bullet journalling before but it wasn’t much of a big deal because I was lost back then. I didn’t know what I was doing and who I was.
Now, I know what I want, I know where I’m going, I know who I am, and I’ve got lots of wisdom under my belt that I want to share to this beautiful world. This Bullet Journalling method could help me do the work that I want to do. It could help me create the positive impact that I want to create.
So I researched how to do it on YouTube. After a day of practicing it, I could say I’ve found a great and super simple tool to help me stay productive, sane, and useful.
The title of this blog post is “How To Get More Of What You Want Into Your Life”. The idea is, I got super excited and enthusiastic about my friend’s great levels of productivity that I attracted the Bullet Journalling method back into my life. I attracted a tool to help me have higher levels of productivity. We attract what we have happy and positive feelings for. We attract what we have loving feelings for.
On the same vein, those things and people that we condemn or have negative feelings for – it could be money, happy romantic relationships of others, the successes of others, anything that is the good of others – we repel.
I used to hate work and money. I hated the concept of work and money because my parents used to work so much for money that they didn’t have any time for me and for my emotional and developmental needs. This hatred for work and money caused me to repel money and meaningful work for quite some time. It was a challenge for me to earn my own money and find the right work for me.
Anything that you want to have, love it. Bless it. Be happy for the good of others – be it career success, happy romantic relationships, money, anything. You can congratulate them and bless them even just in your head or your thoughts. That still works.
But if you’re going to tell me, “then, if I want less judgmental people in my life, I should hate judgmental people?”
Not really. Bless these judgmental people in your life and then they will disappear from your life.
You cannot fight fire with fire. Hate cannot heal hate.
Love is the only thing that heals.
So in all things, love.
I know I shared lots of esoteric concepts in this beautiful blog post like how our thoughts are enough to bless others and it may have caused some open endings in your mind. I will enlighten you about these in the next blog posts!
For now, be happy, live long, and prosper!
